This is one of the best experiences i've ever had. From the moment we walked in, it was positive. The service was professional, quick, knowledgeable, and friendly. We both opted for the 3 course menu, and ordered a bottle of wine. Unfortunately they presented the wine, and it was a different year to the wine on the menu. They immediately volunteered to change it if it wasn't to our satisfaction. As it happened, it wasn't very good, and we were offered another superior bottle of the same grape, at the same price, without any fuss or comment.
The food was incredible. The portions were substantial, the amuse bouches spectacular, and every course made me smile a little more. I can't recommend this place enough. I've eaten in a few Michelin star restaurants, but this was a really great experience, and i really didn't mind spending the £100+ a head that it cost.

I would agree with the quality of service and the standard of food both of which were outstanding. However as regards portion size there was no way that the money which was charged matched the amount you had to eat. All four of us were extremely dissapointed and hungry and now have massive holes in our visa cards! A beetroot lollipop may be a highly acclaimed piece of culnary art but I'm afraid the fable 'emperors new clothes' comes to mind. Call me old fashioned but I like to come to a restaurant to eat and not just to look at food art.
