Black Bo's
your comments review this restaurant
This is a really awesome little place. Great atmosphere, very bohemian; scruffy and intimate and good music. The food has varied in quality the few times ive been, but when its good, its really very good. Interesting vegetarian food (yes, you heard me) that delivers on quirk factor.
I always found it interesting that Black Bo's sits on a street parrallel to the other big vegetarian restaurant in central edinburgh- David Banns. The 2 could not be so diametrically opposed; with Bo's scruffiness and large hearty portions stark contrast to Bann's modern, sleek decor and intricate cuisine. But it has to be said that having been to both, Bo's comes out on top- cheaper, less pretentious, far more fun and (usually) tastier food.
