Amber Restaurant

I stumbled upon this restaurant when we spotted the Whisky Experience Shop. After purchasing more than I should, we headed downstairs to the restaurant. A lovely setting with a great view and Scottish proverbs/poems/saying on wall hangings.

That day's 2 course set menu was delicious sounding soups and Sea Bass. We all chose not to have this as we didn't feel we'd finish both courses (having only just had breakfast), so chose a soup, haggis meal and a trout meal. All were lovely (we couldn't help ourseves and tried a little of each others dishes) and fresh from the kitchen.

The staff were friendly, attentive and speedy. I would recommend this restaurant and will be visiting again when I return to fantastic Edinburgh.
