I went here with my family the other night to celebrate my mum's birthday and it was absolutely wonderful! We got the special banquet menu for four and though we were completely stuffed by the end, we were still begging for more! The service was definitely more than satisfactory but the food it was triumphs over everything else.

Basically what I'm trying to say is: BRILLIANT!

Our first visit and last !

We was there a week ago and it was disappointing, food is tasteless, and the toilets was very unclean and smelled.

I went here with my wife and kids a few months back. Look I’m no restaurant guru, yet I know enough to make sure I don’t go back there again.

The food was pretty rubbish and average if I’m honest. To be frank it was nowhere near as good quality or value for money than my local take away and that’s saying something.

Sorry guys, but this place didn’t do it for me...rubbish food, rubbish decor and very over priced for the experience as a whole

I’ll try somewhere else.

During our short visit of only 2 night to Edinburgh we stayed in a hotel just minutes walk from this restaurant, in fact the hotel recommended them. I am very fussy and dont take recommendations to heart as i know its subjective.

So here goes, i Was mid week and we visited on the Wed about 6.00, it was fairly quiet, just a couple of other tables. Both of these parties seemed familiar with the waiting staff and there was a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.

Not realising the size of the portions, we orderd as we would in London, 2 main coursed and so on. All the food we had was delicious, freshly prepared, good quality and very generous portions. As a result we wasted quite alot as we ate till we were bloated.

Waiting staff were friendly and attentive, without being 'too attentive', as can happen in quieter restaurants.

The decor may be a bit dated but I don't really see that as a major problem when the food and service are great.

sufice to say, although we were only there for 2 nights and althought i like to venture, the food was so delicious, we went back again the second evening to eat, this time we were armed with the knowledge of portions so were ordered accordingly.
