Went here with my family tonight. (Party of 7)

Quite frankly I was disgusted. Service was appalling; the only member of staff welcoming was the waiter. Food was distinctively average and the price was unreal. The soft drinks were flat when served (even when we asked for them to be poured from a can)

The interior is very outdated and the seating they provided for a booked table was cramped and uncomfortable.

I’m not a major fussy person, normally very easy please when it comes to eating out, but do yourself a favour: Look around I’m sure you can get a far better experience for your money.

4 of us at the meal - a meal we all enjoyed - the food - good quality, fresh, interesting , the service - polite just right - I asked for the bill and they had added service charge - I found this unacceptable.

Open for nigh on 30 years now and a stalwart of Edinburgh restaurants. the loon Fung is a very good cantonese restaurant. I would recommend dining in, the wafer paper prawn, the seafood (always fresh) especially baked crabs in ginger and the korean beef. Produce is the freshest and the old favourites (lemon chicken, sweet & sour pork etc) are fautless - also has interesting rarer dishes. Not as authentic as a London type chinese restaurant (not necessarily a bad thing)but very very good indeed.

We receive very frequent takeaways from the Loon Fung, which is a new addition to its services. The food quality is always oustanding, inparticularly the sea food. At first sight it seemed expensive yet the portions are very generous and this should not put you off. The satay chicken is always excellent as is the shui mai

Lovely restaurant, decent size with nice decor, friendly staff and good value for money. Food is fantastic, would highly recommend the starters of either chicken or prawn satay, nice and spicy! Main course include the regular lemon chicken etc but they have an interesting speciality menu which is worth more than a second glance, the only thing i didnt really like was the fact that a 10% surcharge was added to your bill, i would rather tip myself. All in all a great meal.
