Best bar in the Mile by a massive way. The best food I have tasted in Edinburgh - steak was even better than Olorosso and much less expensive. Great whiskies and a must visit for edinburgh

Clever Dicks has now been rebranded as "Whiski" . No idea why as nothing has changed. It provides good pub grub and friendly service. The smoked salmon is very good value. In 2006 the then President of Estonia had lunch there along with his retinue and he loved it, apparently. Not as good as Albanach further up the Royal Mile, but still one of the Royal Mile's better options for good pub food.
