A long established edinburgh eatery, my mum took me there when I was a kid! Great for the veggies - but relatively expensive for what it is. The salads are innovative, and the mains are tasty, but get a drink along with it all and you are looking at £10 a head for cafe food. There are other veggie cheap eat options around - the mosque, suzies diner, Kalpna (great indian food), forest cafe, tatti shop at top of Cockburn St. Better value options.

Hendersons Bistro was a real find for my partner and I whilst staying in Edinburgh in December 2005. As both vegetarians it is difficult to find a menu which isn't the classic 'Vegetable Lasagne'. The food was wholesome, innovative and great value for money. The service was very friendly and the atmosphere very relaxed. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Edinburgh whether Vegetarian or not. A real treat.
