Blue

Unfortunately despite its slightly more stylish setting and fairly pleasant staff, I found Blue woefully disappointing. It failed to fulfil any expectations, with the over pricing of average tasting food delivered in small quantities (despite paying for the 'larger' meal off the menu).

On the positive, the presentation of the food was exceptional, the wine was agreeable and waiters most polite and attentive but I left feeling rather let down and quite hungry due to the standard of food served. Blue has gone for a stylish and up-market cafe approach with prices to match but without providing the customer with the value for money feeling they get from less stylish and less expensive bar and cafes nor from high quality food focussed restaurant lunch menus.

I struggle to think of who I would recommend Blue to, foodies will be let down by the food quality and the more frugal of us will be let down by both the quality and quantity. No one minds paying more if it's worth it, but Blue isn't.

Blue is a great choice for a pre-theatre supper - friendly staff and very good food.
