I went to this restaurant in between gigs during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, so wanted a quick bite before the next show. I arrived with my friend and saw that the (large-ish) restaurant was practically empty (3 tables full), as it was only 5:30pm. We asked the host whether we could pick a table and was shouted at and told to wait where we were. We were then ignored for 5 mins, while the staff decided what to do with us. We were then asked to follow someone who was carrying a rather scruffy bit of paper (which I can only assume was the table plan, as he was referring to it whilst walking along), and told us that we could "have the table until 6:30pm", as someone else needed the table then. This is where we should've walked out and gone somewhere else really, but we explained that we would only need the table until just after 6:30pm anyway, as we'd be leaving to go to our next show.

We ordered. The poppadums were stale and ready prepared out the back. The dips were ok and our starters (which were some kind of satay) were ok too.

Both myself and my friend ordered a korma for the main meal. Lamb for me and prawn for her. They took ages to come to us, as a large group had come in so we were forgotten about. While it looked nice, it tasted of ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! There was no coconut in it and I don't think it even had salt and pepper in it. I mean, I like my Indian food mild, but this was ridiculous. Thing was, we had to eat it as we weren't going to get another chance to eat until midnight. Also, not only did it taste of nothing, but it wasn't hot enough (temperature wise), AND it was £13 for that one meal alone. What a rip off!

In short, don't eat here if you've got any sense. It's the worst Indian food I've ever had the misfortune to eat and the worst service on top of that. The only reason they're open is because of the tourist trade. You've been warned.
