China Town Restaurant
your comments review this restaurant
My wife and I were in Edinburgh for a few days for our 20th wedding anniversary. We ate at a number of places during our stay and just happened to stumble across this place on our way into town one evening. This is the best Chinese we have ever dined in. It was quiet but the service and the food were amazing. They include all the little touches that you would expect of a much more expensive resaurant. It is such a shame that it is just out of the city centre and looks like a solicitors office from outside. However, we would recommend the short walk from the city centre to dine here. You will not be disappointed.

I had dinner at the China Town on Atholl Place last night for my sister’s birthday (6/4/09). I can hand on heart say it was the best Chinese meal I have ever had. The food was absolutely brilliant. I had Chicken and Asparagus. The chicken was so tender and the asparagus was perfectly cooked.
My family all thought the meal was magnificent and the various dishes were cooked to perfection.
The staff were impeccable and the ambiance was terrific. Even the toilets were spotless.
You may think my review is over the top, but we honestly couldn't stop talking about how good the food was.
Highly recommended.
P.S. I have no idea about value for money as my parents insisted on paying. (Please note I am 41 though !)

A large group of us went 15 people. The decor is great, kind of like a space ship and an upmarket lap dancing bar. Unfortunately the food all seemed to be pre prepared and very glucky.

What a fabulous place, lovely decor makes you feel that you are in a 5 star, very relaxed, attentive staff but not pushy, they make you feel special. The food is plentiful, hot, beautifully presented, freshly cooked unlike places where you no sooner order and the food is in front of you, not the usual thick, sticky goo served up in other places who proffes to be the best. I will be back and highly reccommend it to anyone.
