We decided on the £21.95 per head set menu. This turned out to be excellemt value for money. The quality of the food was of a very high standard and well presented. The portions were more than adequate. The service we received was first class. Our waiter was most attentive and nothing was too much bother for him. Overall it was a lovely dining out experience. I will certainly return to Cafe Andaluz on my next visit to Edinburgh

Went here for a romantic dinner last weekend with my girlfriend. Spanish themed interior was cool but after that the night went downhill. None of the dishes were authentic spanish and all seemed to be cooked in too much olive oil. A lot of the dishes that should have been hot were not, and we came away feeling very unsatisfied with our night. The only plus was the spanish wine we chose was good .. but then it was quite expensive. We wont be back in a hurry !!

Fantastic! What a great atmosphere, loads of choice on the menu, I was personally delighted with all the vegetarian dishes. The wine list is really good and all the prices are reasonable, staff were happy and very helpful! Cafe Andaluz is a place I would recommend this to anyone.

Went to this place in July for my son's birthday treat, nice place, they've obviously spent some money on it, nice staff but service was VERY slow but the food was indescribably horrible and one can't help but wondfer if whoever designed the menu has ever been to Spain. Nothing that we ate was vaguely Spanish, even the chorizo had been cooked in nasty glutinous sauce that totally destroyed the flavour and texture, in fact most of what we ate was covered in thick glutinous sauce - very nasty. In fairness there was one edible dish and that was the Chipirones, they were as good as i had during recent two week stay in Spain but everything else was badly concocted and badly implimented. I hope they can sort this out because the place is nice!

What an amazing place. The atmosphere on Saturday night was electric, the food was great and Pedro our waiter was fantastic.

very heavy greasy, fried and gloopy "Scottish" take on Tapas. Service good but food dreadful. Canned mushrooms in a really heavy soup like garlic sauce, Chorizo swimming in a similarly heavy, gloopy greasy sauce. Deep fried chicken and prawns. This is just what Scots want to eat not anwhere near what real authentic fresh simple Tapas should be (Try Barrafina in London for the real deal) A shame really, although it will surely be a big hit with the Hen night parties and other George Street denizens who wouldn't know good food if it fell on them.
