The Patio Restaurant

My wife and I had lunch here during a recent visit to Edinburgh. Food, service and staff were excellent and we will be going back on our next trip.

Visited today for the first time in a few years. We were unaware that the restuarant had changed hands. The old one had a reputaion for seafood but I'm afraid we were really dissapointed. Linguine Vongole with clams which were not opened was sent back only to return with most still unpoened and the pasta dripping in water yuch!! Although we were not charged we will not be back.

I have never met such an entertaining and friendly front of house. Food was good but the waiter's witty banter made the evening. Would definitely go back for the atmosphere.

I and various colleagues have been to The Patio for lunch quite a few times over the last year or so - from a quiet lunch for 2 to a celebration for 15. The food is always good, the service is always friendly and the lunch menu is really good value at £7.95 for 3 courses. I'd definitely recommend it.

We had a very good lunch in The Patio. It was so good that we came back for dinner. Then the lobster was fabulous.

I visited the Patio Restaurent only last week (Thursday 25th March 2010) and the food was excellent and the service very very good. Take my advice, don't listen to other people, visit and make your own mind up!

I've heard this place is terrible now since the real people that established it had to get out. Bar Napoli number 2? Cheap and not cheerful?!

3 course lunch menu for £7.95. A complete bargain.

The food was lovely, the portions were good-sized and the staff were friendly and helpful. Would thoroughly recommend it.
